Renee’s Recent Reads (& BIRTHDAY 🥳) 3/14/2022

Hi friends! Late last week I celebrated my 29th birthday!!! 🥳I had an amazing day talking with family and a really great dinner going out to get sushi with my husband! I also got some wonderful gifts 🙂

I’ve currently been reading Dawnshard by Brandon Sanderson (Stormlight Archive #3.5). So far I like it much better than Edgedancer (Stormlight Archive #2.5) in all aspects – characters, setting, magic, representation. Dawnshard is miles ahead. Reading this completes reading all current Stormlight Archive series books until next year, since I already read the main books.

I’m also starting The Cartographers by Peng Shepherd, my Book of the Month subscription pick. The premise of this one is magical realism based around maps, which sounded really fascinating, so I look forward to seeing where this one goes!
