TLDR; Timely, relevant, disturbing. An absorbing post-apocalyptic sci-fi with a unique spread of characters, contemplating what a societal breakdown could look like in the future.
Review: “The Ten Thousand Doors of January” by Alix E. Harrow
TLDR; A great 'portal'-style fantasy with ten thousand doors, a young woman discovering herself, and a story within a story that warms the heart ❤
Review: “The Blade Itself” by Joe Abercrombie
TLDR; an interesting voyage split among 4-5 characters. Some spikes of action but mostly even progression IMO. Does't hit the next-level magic & big twists I'd hoped for but was a relaxing read. Ending left me holding some big questions and sets the stage for the next in serie
