Happy February, everyone! So crazy that we’re already almost full circle to when COVID-19 first started seriously hitting. Another cold, wintery month down. Here’s a quick view at what I’ve been reading!
This month I read a total of 9 books –
5 mystery/thriller
1 nonfiction
1 historical fiction
and 2 fantasy
By far my favorite was Piranesi by Susanna Clarke, which crept in at the very end of the month. I’ll have a full review coming soon but it boiled down to a unique and enchanting setting hosting a character that’s easy to love.
Most disappointing for me would be…possibly a tie between The Third Rainbow Girl or The Best Bad Things. I felt the first was a bit muddled in identity and didn’t really belong in true crime genre, and the later unfortunately became too repetitive.
Here are links to some of my full reviews:
- Nightblind by Ragnar Jonasson
- Whiteout by Ragnar Jonasson
- Whisper Island by Carissa Ann Lynch
- The Third Rainbow Girl by Emma Copley Eisenberg
- The Midnight Bargain by C.L. Polk
- Joe Biden by Evan Osnos
- Looker by Laura Sims
- [coming soon] Piranesi by Susanna Clarke
How did your reading go this past month? Any exciting new favorites?
We’re excited to see your review for the Joe Biden book.
